Why a framework at all

Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud), Marketing Cloud and Agentforce are the three capabilities this practice connects. They are often bought as separate projects, by different budgets, on different timelines - and then nobody can explain why the AI gives inconsistent answers or the campaigns work from stale data.

The Trifecta is our name for aligning them: the data underneath, the engagement built on it, and the AI agents that use both. It is not a product, and it is not a fixed purchase or implementation order. It is a way of making sure each piece supports the others, and it is how we plan Salesforce implementation services across all three.

How the three fit together

Three layers, one architecture

1
Data 360The data layer. Where unifying customer data across systems is useful, this is where it happens.
2
Marketing CloudThe engagement layer. Marketing Cloud Engagement today, and Marketing Cloud Next, which is built on Data 360.
3
AgentforceThe AI layer. Agents that work from the same customer data and act inside the same records.

Where a client starts depends on where the need is. Some start with Marketing Cloud Engagement, some with Sales Cloud or Service Cloud, some with Data 360. What matters is that each decision is made with the other two in mind, so nothing has to be rebuilt later.

Data Cloud vs Marketing Cloud

Data Cloud, now Data 360, decides who a customer is and what you know about them; Marketing Cloud decides what to say to them, when, and on which channel. One holds and unifies the data, the other acts on it. Marketing Cloud on fragmented data sends the wrong message with great precision, and Data 360 without an engagement layer is a very tidy profile nobody acts on, which is why the two work best planned together.

The three pillars

What it looks like in practice

It rarely looks like a multi-year program. Usually it is one focused phase with a clear, measurable goal, followed by the next piece that phase makes possible - whether that is marketing work, data work, or a narrow, well-chosen Agentforce use case.

Each phase is scoped to be useful on its own. That is deliberate: you can pause after any of them and still have something that works.

Where Sales, Service and the rest fit

We are certified across the core platform too - Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Platform App Builder, Account Engagement - and we do that work when clients need it. It just is not what we lead with. See other capabilities for the supporting work.

Trifecta questions we get asked

How long does a Salesforce implementation take?

It depends on scope, which is why we work in phases rather than one long program. Each phase has a clear, measurable goal and is scoped to be useful on its own; a focused Data 360 first phase, for example, typically runs six to twelve weeks. Scope and timing are agreed in writing before work starts.

Data Cloud vs Marketing Cloud: which do we need first?

Data Cloud, now Data 360, unifies who your customers are; Marketing Cloud decides what to say to them and when. Some clients start with Marketing Cloud Engagement, some with Data 360, some with Sales Cloud or Service Cloud. The discovery call is where we work out which gap matters most for you.

Do we have to buy Data 360, Marketing Cloud and Agentforce together?

No. The Trifecta is not a product or a bundle, and it is not a fixed purchase order. It is how we make sure each decision you make on one of the three supports the other two, so nothing has to be rebuilt later.

Do your Salesforce implementation services cover Sales Cloud and Service Cloud?

Yes. We are certified across the core platform, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Platform App Builder and Account Engagement, and do that work when clients need it. See other capabilities for the details.
