A fixed-scope review that ends in a plan
Moving from Marketing Cloud Engagement to Marketing Cloud Next is not a lift and shift. This review tells you what migrates, what coexists and what can wait.
Most consultancies answer “where do we stand on Marketing Cloud Next?” with a discovery phase of undefined length and a proposal at the end of it. We would rather sell you a small, bounded piece of work with a document at the end that is useful even if you never hire us again.
The MC Next readiness assessment is a bounded piece of work. Its scope, price and timing are agreed in writing after an initial call, so you know exactly what you are getting before it starts. You get a written plan you own.
What is inside
- Estate inventory - your active journeys, automations, key data extensions, integrations and sending domains, documented to a depth agreed at kickoff. In very large instances we prioritize what matters most rather than cataloging everything. For many clients this alone is the first accurate map anyone has had
- Data foundation review - what your data would need to look like in Data 360, and the gap between here and there
- Migrate / coexist / wait classification - every meaningful asset sorted, with reasoning attached
- Effort and sequence - what each phase takes, in what order, and what depends on what
- Licensing considerations - the licensing questions we identify, with estimates where possible, flagged for a proper licensing review with your Salesforce account team. This is not a licensing quote
- Risk register - what could go wrong, and what we would do about it
- A working session - we walk your team through the findings live and answer the awkward questions
How it runs
Who this is for
- Organizations with a meaningful Marketing Cloud Engagement investment and no clear read on MC Next
- Teams who inherited an MCE instance nobody documented
- Marketing leaders being asked by their exec team “what is our AI and data plan” and needing a defensible answer
- Anyone about to spend serious money on Marketing Cloud who wants a second opinion first
Who this is not for
If you do not own Marketing Cloud yet, this is the wrong starting point - request a discovery call instead and we will point you somewhere more useful. If you already have a Data 360 foundation and a documented estate, you probably do not need this, and we will say so on the call rather than sell it to you.
What happens after
The plan is yours to keep. When you are ready to act on it, we scope delivery of the first phase with you, led by the same senior people who ran the assessment.
Readiness questions we get asked
Is this the same as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud migration?
No. The assessment plans your Marketing Cloud Next migration; it does not carry it out. It tells you what should move, what should coexist and what can wait, so any Salesforce Marketing Cloud migration that follows is scoped on facts rather than assumptions.
Do we need Data 360 in place before the assessment?
No. Part of the assessment is reviewing your data foundation and setting out what Data 360 would need to look like for your first use cases, and the gap between here and there.
How long does the assessment take?
It depends on the size of your Marketing Cloud Engagement estate. That is why scope, price and timing are agreed in writing after the first call, before any work starts.
